Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remaster announced, releasing in September

The multi-month Summer Game Fest digital event today hosted its first unveiling session, and it unveiled a remaster bundle containing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. The project is being handled by Vicarious Visions, the studio behind Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. See the above video for the announcement trailer that shows the difference between the old and new versions as well as a special interview.

The remaster will bring back all the original levels from the two games, as well as tricks, iconic skaters, modes, and the soundtrack to keep it an authentic experience. Of course, the developer is adding a complete graphics overhaul, as well as new tricks and such to keep things more modern and fresh. Meanwhile, on the multiplayer side, both local split-screen and online co-op modes will be available.

Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park features will be making a return also, with more powerful customization options. The latter is getting an online upgrade, letting players share their custom-made parks with others and jump into other skater’s levels. All customization items will be acquired through gameplay, and there won’t be any microtransactions at launch.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will arrive as a single remastered package, and it will be available on September 4, 2020. The bundle will be releasing on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
