Those who capitulate, only encourage more fascism by making it easy. While every act of resistance slows them down, as their capacity is not infinite.
Many, if not most of those who resist succeed. Harvard resisted, and they are winning the court cases. NYT resisted and the meritless lawsuit was tossed out.
Harvard and NYT stand now as beacons of hope, but Google absolutely should be derided for their capitulation.
Every act of resistance matters. Protests matter.
Supporting those who resist matters, calling out capitulators and collaborators matters.
EVERYTHING matters now.
Doing nothing is not acceptable, and Google’s capitulation is worse than nothing.
Organize, protest, strike, boycott… Do whatever you can.
