I guess we haven’t learned from history. Because this country’s history is littered with the successes of covert CIA operations in foreign countries. Multiple problems with this
1. Trump clearly doesn’t know the meaning of covert. Revealing it puts the lives of the agents in danger.
2. Whatever the CIA is doing will now be far less effective
3. Like the bombing in Iran this is illegal. No declaration of war. Does not meet the requirements of the war powers act.
4. US ships in international waters are now a potential target. Trump has bombed Venezuelan ships based on a charge with ZERO evidence.
If I’m one of those agents I’m resigning immediately. Trump wants to start a war just like he is doing in this country by exploiting the lives of CIA agents. If one of the agents is kidnapped or killed if gives him a predicate to invoke the War Powers Act.
