What applications are you going to use on the NUC? I recently ditched my HTPC in favor of a streaming box. Much easier to use. I have the ONN Pro and use all the typical streaming services and Jellyfin for my movies, TV and music stored on my unRAID server. The only thing that I have found doesn’t work is DTS audio formats. But I couldn’t get that to work on a gaming PC attached to the same receiver and TV either.
