Moms had fractured her right hip in 2017, returning to us and able to use a walker. Then, in the 2020 pandemic year, and to make a longer story short, she broke her other hip. She could still get around on the walker with some assistance, but she wasn’t going to make it up a flight of four stairs to the front door so I could take her to the medical clinic. It was about that time that we — I — purchased this Wheel Chair Trolley so I could get her to the vehicle or to medical transport for her trips to the doctor.
We must have used that item less than 10 times. Yes — it was expensive — but I was going to take care of my Moms and avoid killing myself. I have COPD and heavy-lifting is difficult.
Now Moms has passed away. I don’t even care if I can sell this item: I want to get rid of it, but it should go somewhere by which some needy person can acquire and use it.
I think I had asked at GoodWill Industries here in town, and they refused. I’m going to contact Salvation Army soon. It would be trouble, but I could put ads in Craigs List? Not so sure I want to go through that hassle.
Any ideas? I HAVE to GET RID of this THING. It’s more important to get it out of the house and into needy hands than to make back some portion of what we paid.
