My $0.02: You’re about ten years too late for that party. Once upon a time there was a bit of extra overhead, these days however Intel and AMD are so locked in combat with each other that they leave very little margin for overclockers, and that a new generation of high-end CPUs risks getting toasted by unrefined settings recommendations either by the CPU makers themselves or by motherboard manufacturers not properly adhering to the recommendations. Furthermore, cooling solutions can barely keep up with high-end CPUs at stock let alone overclocked ones.
Also, with the AI boom sending the cost of many components skyrocketing, for example plenty of people are shying away from using XMP/EXPO settings on RAM.
In conclusion, it’s an expensive risk with likely little reward.
