This is my POV on OJ’s (orange jesus) second term. IOW, this is a ‘no facts zone’ but one with a level of truthiness unknown of in human history.
I very much doubt that DJT has any quantifiable religious leanings. But he’s old and getting older and the final destination is no longer just an abstract concept.
Once your own mortality can no longer be ignored or denied, what is the one thing that most men, non-religious men. lust for? Fame. The kind of fame that will never be forgotten, a timeless fame. The kind that we lavish on the conquerors, scientists, philosophers, leaders.
If that is in fact the topology of OJ’s mind, what would be the outward signs.
Well, that’s easy. Trump can never be accused of subtlety or finesse. There’s the erasure of the historic East Wing, the toppling of Maduro, the brow beating of Powell and finally, the truly insane plan to annex Greenland, by force.
The short sighted and idiot pundits would have you belief that all of these actions have been primarily designed to distract from Trump’s involvement with Epstein. Bitch, please. Of course he’s going to try to bury all of the Epstein files yet to be released. And it’s likely that he will succeed to that end, at least for now.
But that’s not his primary objective. It’s a side show at best. No my friends, this is the picture of a grievously desperate man doing every thing in his substantial power to leave his mark on history.
And that mindless desperation is compounded by the almost certain fact that that the Dems will take both houses at the midterms. That will set the stage for his next and last impeachment. No doubt he believes that this one will also crash and burn. It will be astounding how beggared that belief will turn out to be.
