I’ts not a credit card surcharge, it’s a cash discount.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the rates for non-FSD driving went up substantially so that the discounted rate looks “normal”.
Also, im curious as to how the insurance company is going to monitor FSD usage. Let’s assume they are true to their word and you get a 50% discount. Does that assume you are using it 100% of miles driven? What happens if you use it sparingly (say, 1% of miles driven)? How are they going know one from the other, or knowing FSD usage at all? How are you as a insured going to dispute claims when insurance co says you weren’t using FSD and you say you were (or vice versa)?
