Discussion – problems with 9800X3D and Asrock motherboards

Not really. I have a preference for anything that works great. I just made really poor choices with regards to Zen 5. I bought the ASROCK mobo first, thinking it would be fun to get a cheap 8700F or 8700G and overclocking the RAM. Well, they never got cheap enough and seemed bad value. The 9950X3D was a mix of impulse and panic buy (coz of trump).

At the time of purchasing the B850 Pro RS, Gigabyte wasn’t at the top of my list and ASROCK was better in my opinion due to my experience with Z790 Sonic mobo. I later got the Gigabyte Z890 Elite ICE only because it was the cheapest mobo with the most features. It’s been so good for me that I really regret not getting a Gigabyte AM5 mobo.

1 makes a bit of sense to me. Avoid turning it on till I’m able to do No.3

OR

ASROCK and AMD finally get together with a strong consumer friendly statement telling their customers that they will take full responsibility for anyone with issues no matter where they are in the world.
