Mao Zedong’ famines would not have have been nearly so bad if he never mobalized the rural peasantry.

If he let people grow their wealth where they were at, the great Chinese famine would probably never have happened. If you owned farmland, you farm. If you owned fishing boats, you fished. You dont move to go manufacture steel from which you dont have experience in.

This is why I’m suspicious of people pressuring me to leave my home to seek work.
