Why don’t people understand that due process for immigrants and criminals exists as a firewall to protect due process rights for citizens?
If Immigrants and criminals don’t get due process, then there is nothing stopping the government from just accusing someone of being an immigrant or criminal, denying them due process, and then disappearing them to wherever.
Without the due process part, how can someone even prove they’re a citizen or innocent of any crimes?
