Beef at USD 10 per pound? What kind of insane world they are now? Even in a underdeveloped country like Peru it just cost half of it!
Sometimes, I think the consumer has forgotten the golden rule of shopping: you can just not buy something. You can live with reduced beef intake.
(As for what it costs elsewhere, that’s a hard comparison to make, unless you’re going to look at costs as a function of total food budget or some other normalized metric.)
