Yeah, modern hardware can’t boot old OSes. Tom’s Hardware says to use VirtualBox. Virtualization, with that or DosBox or Bochs or Qemu or something else, is probably the right answer. But I did find a 64-bit FreeDOS that might have a small chance of booting on its own.
